LORIS LUIGI MARZOCCHI
Loris Luigi Marzocchi started to contribute to Bologna-based newspaper Il Resto del Carlino and Naples-originated newspaper Il Mattino. He was then employed by sports newspaper Tuttosport in 1971, dealing with marketing before joining the editorial staff. Football and football academies in particular have always been his passion. In 1992 he was the only Italian correspondent from the UEFA European Under-16 Championships in Cyprus. His work has contributed to spotlight the campionato Primavera as well as the Viareggio Cup, since he used to write features that have stimulated the attention of national media to a previously ignored sector. Marzocchi worked as a correspondent from the Viareggio tournament for 14 years and as the head of the Viareggio Cup press office for 9 years, refounding and modernising the communication and the official website. He has left an indelible mark on CGC Viareggio at journalistic and organisational level.
